Hi! I practically grew up in Dubai and lived there 16 or some odd years. I left there in 98 to come to Dallas, and have been here ever since. In fact, when I was leaving is when they started construction on Burj Al Arab - it wasn't even close to completion. Anyway, now when I look for pictures of Dubai, specifically the streets I roamed and hung out with my friends, I never seem to find any. So when I came across this post (along with other posts with pics of the city), I have to say - It just hit home! These are the REAL pics I was looking for and now I am lost in memories (Thank you).
Would it be ok to use some of these pics on my blog? I have a few relatives living in the US now, who also grew up in Dubai with me, and I know that they would have the EXACT same effect as I did. Of course, I will credit you and your blog in my write up. If not, I totally understand. Excellent pictures though.
